Anecdotes and thoughts on matters of life and philosophy. There'll be a bit of angst in here, but also tales of joy and "Awwww..." moments.

Here's an update on yesterday's blog entry. I told a couple of co-workers about the debacle with that old woman who chewed me out for eating within the concert pavilion. One of them had been to the pavilion before, and she was astonished. "What's the big deal?" she said. "It's an outdoor event!" Like the other friend that I mentioned, she had no idea that eating was prohibited there, even though she had been to that concert hall before.

So I feel vindicated. I'm not the only one who was unaware that eating was not allowed. I'm not the only one who figured that eating there was okay, given that it was an informal outdoors event. Heck, it's not as though people were expected to dress up in suits and ties, for pity's sake.

Mind you, I'm not saying that I should have been eating. I'm more than willing to respect the rules. However, I am upset that I was raked over the coals for doing so, given that it was an understandable mistake.

Talk about being mean-spirited.
