Chrismas Eve stuff

So I spent Christmas Eve with four nice young ladies and their husbands/boyfriends. Well, except that one of them (the one I know the best, "L") doesn't currently have a guy. She never lacks for suitors, but she wasn't on anyone's arm last night.

We were talking about this gal Sarah that I mentioned previouslyo. I had asked Sarah out three years ago, at the promptings of one of the sisters. Honestly though, I was kinda relieved when she turned me down, as I had started to see a rude and unpleasant side to her.

So I learned that last year, Sarah told my friend "L" that I liked her (Sarah, that is). My friend piped up, "No, he doesn't. Look, I know him very well. He's not interested in you." Heck, she could have simply said, "He thinks you're a rude, annoying lout," but that would have been going too far.

Man, that gal was arrogant. At the time, it had been two years since I asked her out -- reluctantly, at that. Yet she thought I was still interested in her? Tone down the ego, woman! You're not that appealing. Heck, both "L" and one of her sisters say that you're rude and mighty annoying.

What's more, it seems like she and the motormouth that I mentioned previously had gone out a few times. Okay, fine. That didn't excuse them from being mighty darned rude during our discussion. No wonder they got along with each other.

Anyway, it's nice to know that "L" isn't spending time with Sarah anymore. Good for her.

On a tangentially related note, I was talking to someone last night about that old sitcom, Bosom Buddies. That was a funny show. It had a little bit of racy content for the 80s, but it was otherwise okay.
