Okay, it's time for another diatribe against the idiocy of Windows Vista. Actually, this particular complaint can be levelled against all the Windows versions. Ugh.

I hate it when I'm typing into one application, only to have Windows call up another program and redirect the focus into that window. What a stupid thing to do! If I'm typing or clicking on buttons, don't automatically switch focus on me without warning, darnit!

You can always call up a ghosted outline of the new application, for pity's sake. That's what the X Window System did, and it made perfect sense. Does Microsoft have any idea of what kinda of damage someone can accidentally cause, simply because they decide to force your keyboard or mouse input into another application without warning?
