Scientists 

I've been reading about some scientists whose work was hitherto unknown to me: Dmitry Ivanovsky, Martinus Willem Beijerinck, Wendell Stanley, Oswald Theodore Avery, and Paul Ehrlich. What exciting lives these people led!
