The common cold is uncommonly annoying

The common cold is such an annoyance. I don't get it often, but getting it is a huge inconvenience. I like to remain productive, and I like to keep my mind clear in order to be creative. That's very important to me.

I hate the way having a cold makes me feel sleepy, even when I've taken all manner of daytime decongestants -- or even before I take any medication. More than once now, I've had to take a brief nap in order to regain my mental acuity.

Speaking of acuity and creativity, I want to vent a little bit. I'm a little tired of seeing advertisements and websites that look like they were just whipped up by one or two people, without the benefit of group feedback. Have these people never heard of a focus group? Even if you can't gather a formal focus group together, you can still pass the materials around for review before it's ever shown to the public.

That's pretty basic. You don't need any fancy business credentials to know that. Some would say, "Well, let's just come up with something for now. We can fix it later." That's fine if we're only talking about having some refinements. However, when a layout or concept is fundamentally flawed, then publishing something initially can be counter-productive. Changing it can be more difficult later than earlier on in the process. (Kinda like software. It's easier to make changes early on rather than after the software has grown.)

Yeppers.
