Back in the 1980s, Ruby-Spears had this incredibly stupid cartoon called "Turbo Teen." It's about a teenager who transformed into a car when he's exposed to heat. He changes back when he's exposed to high degrees of cold.

Yeah, it's a dumb idea. In fact, it's incredibly, mind-numbingly stupid.

Mind you, Ruby-Spears has produced better shows than that. I was never a fan of "Thundarr the Barbarian," for example, but I don't think it was a bad show. This whole "Turbo Teen" concept, on the other hand, must have come from the fevered, drug-induced dreams of an addled mind.

Sheesh.
