Anecdotes and thoughts on matters of life and philosophy. There'll be a bit of angst in here, but also tales of joy and "Awwww..." moments.

New Year's Day

I was supposed to spend the evening of New Year's Day with some charming young sisters. None of them are serious romantic prospects -- in fact, three of them are attached -- but they're delightful and fun.

Unfortunately, a blizzard cancelled those plans. Rats.

I've been reading about a rather odd variety of topics. Read about Cheryl from the old Mickey Mouse Club, for example. Also been reading some comic book adaptations of classic novels (The Last of the Mohicans, Treasure Island). Been reading about a variety of linguistic techniques for engaging people's attention as well. Oh, and I listened to some audiobooks by John Stossel, Bill O'Reilly, and Ann Coulter. I don't agree with all that they said, but I did want to hear their perspectives.
