Lazy motorists

Lazy motorists annoy the heck out of me. Here's an example.

I picked lunch up at a Boston Market outlet in a nearby strip mall today. I tried to drive out, but as I navigated my way through the parking lot, I found that my lane was blocked by one driver. I tapped my horn, but she just sat there.

It became clear that she was waiting for somebody to pick something up at one of the stores. Instead of pulling into an empty parking spot though (of which there were plenty), she decided to just sit and chill within the lane itself. She didn't even bother turning her hazard lights on. Talk about lazy!

On a semi-related note, I got tied up over lunch on Tuesday because some drivers caused a bad case of gridlock. Apparently, they did not grasp the notion that one should not block the intersection... or if they did, they just didn't care. That kind of selfish behavior is a leading cause of traffic jams. If I had a badge, I would have threatened to ticket every single one of them. (I might not have issued a ticket, but I certainly would have tried to put some fear into them.)
